you're sitting in a room taking a test and the question is about charles darwin and where he did his observational studies that led to his evolution theory. your choices are:
a) Australian Outback
b) Hawaiian Islands
c) Galapegos Islands
d) South African Jungle
what do you pick? my first instinct said the answer was "c" but then, of course, i had to go and second guess myself...so i'm thinking... darwin... evolution... monkeys... i'll pick "d" - should've gone with my first instinct. honestly...south african jungle...stupid. this is just one slice of my test taking experience in preparation for applying to grad schools for education programs. can't wait to see my scores in a few more weeks - i'm just hoping i pass so i don't have to take them again...except we haven't been able to figure out what constitutes a passing score.
happy thanksgiving!

che and i spent the better part of tuesday morning at ikea. after my fall cleaning, i decided that i needed to get better shelving units and a cute little square end table. i couldn't find any shelving units that i liked, so i'm thinking of just asking my dad to build one the next time i go home. i did get my little table and i picked up a new floor lamp. it's the same as the one i've had, but it has one new feature - a reading lamp with it's own switch! yay! we stopped by costco and target and then went to visit chris and dave. the rest of the evening was spent watching the WB and election coverage. the WB was way more entertaining than the commentary from political analysts/strategists on CNN.

sporadic blogging. i recently decided to organize and tidy up my room. for those that have seen it, there was a lot of clutter and piles of stuff sitting around. i moved some things around and threw out some junk and it felt good! i now have more open floor space and it is lovely. i found some fun items from a few years back and i'm ready to make some mischief. :D
