i went to the puyallup fair on sunday. prior to this momentous occasion, i had never been to the puyallup fair. it was fantastic! it was all about the food - walla walla onion burgers, fried snickers, funnel cake, roasted garlic butter corn, and the famous fair scones. it was sooooo good. i love fairs, but most of the time, the people that i'm with do not want to partake in the fair food, fair games, nor fair rides. all of this makes me sad, since you really go to the fair just once a year. but this time, it was food, games, and rides!!! i didn't have my camera, but kristie had hers. and the weather held up quite nicely for us. i even won prizes, a small pink pig that has gray ears and a green snout. it's ugly, so ugly that it's almost kind of cute. and from skeeball, i went home with a scary looking tigger knock-off. yay fun!

i drove down to portland yesterday morning and made it in time for a late lunch. mike, andy, wendy, and i tried to go to this japanese restaurant, but they closed for midday. next, we tried mio sushi, but they too closed for midday [0 for 2 wendy hsu]. we settled for sushi town, the sadder version of sushiland. we called jeffy to come and eat with us, but he went to sushiland. we discovered that he was in the wrong place, but he decided not to drive out [mike said it was because he was distraught - and this is only funny if you know jeffy]. but we did pick him up to go to dairy queen for free cone day! yay!

later, i went with pam to 24 hour fitness. no, not to work out, although i so need to get back into going more consistently, but for pam to sign up. we decided that everybody there was quite cheery and enthusiastic and that the guy at the front desk was cute. i also discovered that i got shafted with my membership deal. pam got a free gym bag, towel, and gigantic t-shirt. at my sign-up, i got nothing. those jerks. we had dinner and then i took in my first viewing of dodgeball. this was not dodgeball the movie, this was open gym dodgeball put on by the portland dodgeball foundation. it was actually super fun, like back in PE class. a bunch of the guys were playing and apparently, george is the man in dodgeball circles. does anyone remember "pindown" from elementary school PE?
