i saw jersey girl on friday and darn it, i liked it. i don't care what the critics say. i found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable movie and ben affleck and liv tyler were great. it makes me want to watch armageddon again. but armageddon needs to wait in line behind the other 2538 movies i haven't made time to watch. after the movie and a late run to wendy's, i went to the uvillage starbucks to hang. i think that somewhere in there we talked about cartoons. and i couldn't remember the title of this one cartoon that had like cops and criminals. and guess what? today on amazon.com, i was browsing and i came across the cartoon! it's called C.O.P.S.. it was driving me crazy not being able to remember and having other people look at me like i was a nut. i feel triumphant.
yesterday, i went to james and joana's baby shower. baby shower and wedding shower games are always interesting. they're cute and cheesy of course. who gets to make up these games that seem to make their rounds at showers? i vote people play board games at future showers. i'm itching to play scene it again.
because the baby shower was so draining, i overslept and had to book it to church. pastor tom youn gave a message about anger. it was laced with entertaining and funny stories, but the bottomline was that it's ok to be angry, because Jesus got angry too. the difference is letting anger build and become resentment, bitterness, hatred, and/or rage, which takes us into sin and keeps us from becoming our full potential in God. i have implosive anger. note to self, must work on that.
then i got to play volleyball from like 5:30pm until past 9pm. we're got 3rd place out of like 10 or so teams. no prizes for us...sadly. just once, i would like to win a t-shirt. but now, hours later, my muscles are starting to feel sore and i can tell that come tomorrow morning, i shall be hurting. feels good.
